A Ukrainian missile was shot down in the Kursk region
Air defense forces have destroyed a Ukrainian missile in the Kursk region, the region's operational headquarters said on January 13.
"A Ukrainian missile has been destroyed in the skies of the Kursk region. Thanks to the air defense fighters!" - said in a message in the Telegram channel.
Approximately an hour before that, the operative headquarters reported about the missile danger.
Earlier in the day, a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked a civilian car on the road in the Belovo district of Kursk region. Pensioner spouses who were in the car were injured and hospitalized. A criminal case has been opened on this fact.
The AFU attacked the positions of the Russian Federation in the border areas of the Kursk region on August 6 last year. The situation in the region was recognized as a state of emergency of federal character. The liquidation of the Ukrainian militants who invaded the Russian territory is underway.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the beginning of which was announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
