AvtoVAZ resumes car assembly after New Year vacations and vacations
AvtoVAZ resumed production of cars after the New Year vacations and vacation. This was reported in the press service of the company to Izvestia on January 13.
"AvtoVAZ has resumed work in full accordance with the plan after the New Year holidays and corporate vacation. Car assembly and component production have started at all lines of all plants of the company," the statement reads.
The company suspended car production from December 29 to January 12. During the New Year vacations at AvtoVAZ it was planned to carry out more than 9 thousand works aimed at improving working conditions, preventive maintenance of equipment and modernization of technologies in connection with the launch of new models. A significant part of the work was related to the upcoming launch of the new Lada Iskra model.
On December 29, 2024, AvtoVAZ announced that it planned to index prices for a number of models and modifications of Lada cars on January 14, 2025. It is expected that the average percentage of price adjustment will be lower than the accumulated inflation. At the end of 2024, AvtoVAZ produced 525.5 thousand cars, exceeding the plan.
