On January 10, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation reported that the passing of People's Artist of Russia Yevgenia Dobrovolskaya is an irreparable loss for the national culture.

The Ministry expressed condolences to the family and friends of the actress.

"Evgenia Vladimirovna shone not only in the theater, but also in cinematography. She remained true to her calling to the last. Her strength of spirit and devotion to art remain an example for many and deservedly received the people's love", - states the Ministry of culture in its Telegram-channel.

Before that, the actor of theater and cinema, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation Igor Zolotovitsky told "Izvestia" that the People's Artist of the Russian Federation Yevgeniya Dobrovolskaya, who died at the 61st year of life, was one of the best actresses. He added that he knew Evgenia Vladimirovna, who served in the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater, for about 40 years. They participated together in entreprises back in the 1990s.

Dobrovolskaya was born in Moscow. In 1987, she graduated from GITIS (course Lyudmila Kasatkina and Sergei Kolosov), four years later came to the troupe of the Chekhov Moscow Art Theater. Known as an actress of theater, film and television series. During her career, starred in more than 100 projects, including "The Irony of Fate. Continuation", "I Trust You", "Heavenly Court", "Queen Margot". In 2005 she received the title of People's Artist of Russia.
