The Czech Republic and the West in general are noticing the failures of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which is why politicians are increasingly talking about Kiev's concessions. In a conversation with Izvestiya on 24 September, political scientist and senior lecturer at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations of the Russian Foreign Ministry Aleksey Zudin pointed this out.

The day before, Czech President Petr Pavel said that the Ukrainian authorities should accept the loss of some territories during the conflict with Russia. According to the state leader, in the current time Kiev and its allies need to "face reality" and make appropriate decisions.

"This is a slightly unusual statement if you compare this statement with the past, and if you put this statement in the line of current assessments, forecasts and wishes, it starts to look like quite standard. It seems that a new normality of the West's perception of the situation on the line of the NWO is taking shape," Zudin commented.

In his opinion, the change of views is connected with the obvious advance of Russian troops, which has been going on for the second month. Against this background, the interlocutor notes, Kiev's "wishes" about military successes and territorial integrity look out of place.

Earlier, on September 18, the former head of Czech military intelligence, General Andor Shandor, said that Ukraine will not be able to return the territories that became part of the Russian Federation, because it has no opportunities for this: neither economic, nor military, nor diplomatic.

A researcher of international relations and security policy, Oleksandr Dubovyy, pointed out in an article for Berliner Zeitung on 30 July that Ukraine's Western allies do not believe in its ability to regain the lost territories. The expert emphasized that the Russian Armed Forces are advancing on the battlefield, finding weaknesses of the Ukrainian army.

The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which was announced by the Russian president on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken against the background of the aggravated situation in the region.
