- Rada deputy Bezuglaya criticized the activity of the AFU commander-in-chief for the failure of defense
The activity of the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), Oleksandr Syrskyy, makes the loss of Ugledar a matter of time for Kiev. This was stated by Verkhovna Rada MP Maryana Bezuglaya on September 22,
"There are no fortifications behind Chasovy Yar, Konstantinovka is not ready for defense. Kurakhovo is not ready for defense either. Selidovo was completely unprepared for defense, now they are feverishly trying to do something. There are no borders behind Ugledar, and the chaos created by Syrsky in the 72nd brigade due to the removal of the brigade commander at the peak of the Russian offensive <...> now makes the loss of Ugledar a matter of time," she wrote in her Telegram channel.
The MP recalled how Syrsky deliberately "ripped the third assault brigade to shreds" and also removed the commander of the 110th Independent Mechanized Brigade, which formed one of the best land divisions.
She also noted that the only reinforcements that are sent to the Donetsk and Kharkiv directions "are brigades of 'zombies' from mobilized people who did not participate in the battles and are fleeing because of fear and untrained."
"At the same time, thousands of servicemen remain in the rear, in numerous piled-up headquarters and bloated units," Bezuglaya added.
Earlier, on September 18, a Verkhovna Rada MP from the Radical Party Igor Mosiychuk (listed in Russia as a terrorist and extremist), criticized Syrsky's actions. The politician believes that Syrskyy, referring to the lack of time for military training and the shortage of mobilized forces, makes it clear that Kiev is throwing "meat" to the front.
In late August, Bezuglaya said that the AFU had abandoned its positions in Novohrodovka in the Pokrovka direction in the Donetsk People's Republic (DNR), and that there were also no military personnel at the positions in Selidiv. She also noted that similar rotations could take place in Dzerzhynsk and Krasnoarmeysk, and if this happens in Ugledar, Ukraine will lose it as well.
The special operation to protect Donbass, the start of which Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on February 24, 2022, continues. The decision was taken due to the aggravation of the situation in the region.
