Air defense forces destroyed a Ukrainian drone over the Belgorod region
The Russian Air Defense Forces have destroyed a Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) over the territory of Belgorod Region. This was reported by the Russian Defense Ministry on September 21.
The Kiev regime's attempt to launch an attack was foiled around 16:40 Moscow time.
"At about 16:40 Moscow time, another attempt by the Kiev regime to commit a terrorist attack with the use of UAVs of aircraft type on objects on the territory of the Russian Federation", - stated in the message of the department.
Earlier in the day, it was reported that Russian air defense forces destroyed two Ukrainian UAVs over the territories of Belgorod and Kursk regions.
In addition, the governor of the Kaluga region Vladislav Shapsha reported six downed Ukrainian drones over the region. It was specified that five drones were eliminated on the territory of Kirovskyy district, another one - in Spas-Demenskyy district.
Ukrainian militants are trying to strike Russian territories against the background of the special operation in Donbass, the start of which was announced on February 24, 2022. The decision was made due to the aggravation of the situation in the region due to shelling by the Ukrainian military.
