Poland expects to invest about 15 billion zlotys, or $3.8 billion, in the creation of a permanent US military base on its territory. This was stated on October 23 by the country's Minister of National Defense Vladislav Kosinyak-Kamysh in an interview with the WNP portal.

"We are ready. We have identified the sites, are ready to develop the necessary infrastructure and have secured financing," Kosinyak-Kamysh said.

According to him, it's not just about military facilities: taking into account the permanent deployment of about 5,000 American military personnel, their relatives and service personnel, infrastructure for about 25,000 people will be required. In turn, this involves the construction of housing, schools, as well as facilities in the service sector, sports and social infrastructure.

Kosinyak-Kamysh noted that the Polish side is actually waiting for Washington's decision. The relevant documents are planned to be submitted to the Pentagon in November, and Warsaw expects to receive the White House's position on the project in December.

On October 5, US President Donald Trump announced that the White House would consider Lithuania's request to deploy an American military base on its territory. The American leader also called Lithuania "his friend" and described the people living there as "excellent."
