Zakharova accused Western corporations of supporting Ukrainian fraudsters

American IT companies Microsoft, Google and Meta (recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation) provided support to Ukrainian fraudulent call centers. This was announced on September 21 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

""It's no secret that a number of countries — the United States, the Netherlands, Estonia, Germany and others — and American IT giants - Microsoft, Google, Meta and others — continued to support the illegal activities of Ukrainian call centers," " she said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to Zakharova, back in 2020-2021, Russia informed Interpol about an increase in the activity of telephone fraudsters on the territory of Ukraine. At the same time, Western countries themselves did not respond properly to the activities of intruders directed against Russians.

The crooks are controlled by the SBU and other special services of the Kiev regime.

In early September, it was noted that about 2 thousand fraudulent call centers operate on the territory of Ukraine, while about half of them transfer funds to representatives of law enforcement agencies on a monthly basis, which provide them with protection from inspections and searches. It was specified that the total amount of such payments exceeds $24 million per month.

Pyotr Ilyichev, Director of the Department for New Challenges and Threats at the Russian Foreign Ministry, said on June 9 that the number of Ukrainian telephone fraudsters operating against Russian citizens is estimated at about 100,000 people. The main areas of concentration of the centers were Dnepropetrovsk, where 500 organizations, Kiev, Odessa, Lviv, Kharkov, Ivano-Frankivsk.
