Footage of the detention of radical terrorists in the CBD and Adygea has been published

Incendiary substances, weapons and extremist symbols were found in the radicals' possession during the detention of members of the international terrorist organization (ITO) in Adygea and Kabardino-Balkaria. Footage of the operation by Russian law enforcement officers was published on August 26 by the FSB's Public Relations Center.

The arrests took place at the places of residence of the defendants. During searches of their homes, molotov cocktails, mobile phones, knives, flags with logos of terrorist organizations were found.

Alim Sizhazhev, Deputy Chairman of the Spiritual Board of Muslims of Kabardino-Balkaria, stressed that recruiters of radical communities use human emotions to force them to commit crimes.

"At first they say that you see what kind of government, you see how they act unfairly there, and so on. Their slogans are beautiful," he said.

However, in the end, all interaction with terrorists comes down to manipulation, with the help of which those recruited are "directed in a dirty and wrong direction," Sizhazhev believes.

Earlier that day, the FSB Central Control Center reported that 11 participants of the MTO had been detained in Kabardino-Balkaria, who organized attacks on local residents, propagandizing radical ideology. A criminal case has been opened under Parts 1 and 2 of Articles 205.5 ("Organization of the activities of a terrorist organization and participation in the activities of such an organization") of the Criminal Code of Russia.
