In Kamchatka, measures are continuing to remove tourists who were blocked in the vicinity of the Tolbachik volcano — the reason was a washed-out road. This was announced on August 23 by the government of the Kamchatka Territory.

"Volunteers are clearing an old road for the descent of blocked vehicles, and the Ministry of Tourism, together with the tourist community, are forming lists for transporting tourists by helicopter from the volcano," a message on the Maks messenger says.
