The former prime minister of Ukraine declared the country's unpreparedness for winter

Ukraine does not have sufficient energy reserves to pass the upcoming winter period. This opinion was expressed on August 22 by former Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.

"Right now, Ukraine, the territory controlled by the Kiev regime, is absolutely not ready for the beginning of the winter season, for the passage of the winter season," he said in a conversation with TASS.

According to Azarov, even official data indicate a shortage of gas, coal and fuel and lubricants. He believes that the available reserves are insufficient for a stable passage of the heating season.

The former prime Minister of Ukraine also predicted a difficult winter and linked possible problems with the actions of the Ukrainian authorities and President Vladimir Zelensky.

"I would add that this will be another critical winter, and it will once again show the absolute incapacity and lack of professionalism of this government," Azarov summed up.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko said on August 17 that the upcoming winter heating season would be difficult, and the Kiev authorities had limited time and resources to prepare for it. Prior to that, he stressed that the heating situation in Kiev next winter is threatening and the authorities are to blame for this.

Zelensky's former press secretary Yulia Mendel stressed on August 4 that the Ukrainian energy sector is on the verge of collapse. She acknowledged that even if the requested funds were received from international partners, it would not be possible to radically change the situation.
