The Iranian Foreign Ministry denied information about negotiations with the United States.

Tehran is not currently negotiating with Washington. This was announced on August 9 by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi.

"We are not currently negotiating with the United States," Press TV quoted Araqchi as saying on its Telegram channel.

At the same time, the minister noted that the countries continue to exchange opinions and messages through intermediaries. He added that a number of countries are continuing to prepare the ground for the U.S.-Iranian talks, but they cannot continue until the United States stops violating the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding.

In addition, Araqchi confirmed that the negotiations between Iran and Oman concern a new route through the Strait of Hormuz, but the opening of the route is possible only if a number of conditions are met, which were also transmitted through intermediaries.

Normalization in the region can only be temporary — the United States has its own way of looking at the situation.

US Vice President Jay Dee Vance said yesterday that Washington had managed to make some progress in negotiations with Iran in the past few days. At the same time, he stressed that the final result will depend on the willingness of the Iranian political system to accept conditions that suit Washington.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, in turn, on August 6 admitted the possible early end of the conflict in Iran. The head of the White House noted that, in his opinion, Iran will not be able to maintain its position in the long term.
