Among the new Russian car brands, brands in the mass segments, such as Jeland and Volga, have the greatest chance of commercial success. This was announced on July 31 by Nikolai Ivanov, Rolf's New car Sales Director.

As the specialist pointed out, Jeland operates in the crossover segment with a technical base that is already clear to the market. The country's famous Jaecoo and Omoda models are hidden under this brand. At the same time, Volga is betting on the mass and mid-price segment. Its models are based on Geely cars, which are popular in Russia, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.

As for other brands, the Esteo and UMO brands (based on the models of the Chery and GAC concern, respectively) are aimed at a higher segment. They may be interesting due to their design and equipment, but they may be inferior to mass-market brands in terms of sales. According to the expert, Atom looks like an even more niche project.

Some cars with a Chinese technological base are being transferred to localized Russian brands, however, for the buyer, the key importance will not be the name, but the product, price, availability of cars, warranty, service and spare parts, Ivanov emphasized.

As reported on July 30, the Tenet T4 crossover, which began production at the AGR plant in Kaluga in August last year, has been discontinued. The company explained the decision by the end of the model's lifecycle. The T4 was replaced by the larger T4L model.
