- The ex-soloist of "Mirage" Sukhankina called the punishment from producer Lityagin a holiday.
Margarita Sukhankina, the ex-soloist of the Mirage group, called the recovery of 8 million rubles from producer Andrei Lityagin through the court a holiday. The actress announced this in an interview with Izvestia on July 24.
"This is a huge celebration, as they say on my street, which took place. There was a lot of talk about who was singing and who wasn't singing. Yes, it was me. This is my golden voice that sounds on all the main songs of the Mirage group," she noted.
According to Sukhankina, the lawsuit was filed in March 2025. The litigation lasted about a year and a half and ended just the day before. As part of the proceedings, a handwriting and technological examination was carried out, which confirmed that the agreement on the transfer of rights to musical works was falsified. The actress stressed that she had never signed documents on the alienation of the rights to her recordings.
Sukhankina noted that she had won only two contracts, which Lityagin sold to the National Music Publishing House. She added that her rights have been violated for 40 years, and this is just the beginning of the struggle for justice. According to the actress, there are still many court episodes ahead related to the illegal use of her voice.
The singer said that Lityagin has been wanted for more than three years and is hiding from law enforcement agencies. According to her information, the producer did not contact her and did not attempt to settle the dispute out of court. Sukhankina clarified that Lityagin has financial obligations to other persons.
The singer said that the court's decision was fundamental to her: she wanted to prove that it was her voice that sounded on all the main hits of the Mirage group, including the song "Music connected us." The actress noted that Lityagin had been spreading false information about her in the press for a long time and claimed that she did not exist.
Sukhankina thanked Marina Musimovich, judge of the Zamoskvoretsky Court, for her professionalism and meticulousness in studying all the circumstances of the case. The singer noted that Lityagin's defense repeatedly changed lawyers and tried to delay the process, but the judge carefully considered each argument of the parties. The actress admitted that it was her first judicial experience in her life.
She stated that she was pleased with the verdict and intended to continue defending her rights in other instances, since, according to her, the Mirage project was created practically on her voice.
On July 23, the press service of the Moscow City Court informed Izvestia about the satisfaction of Sukhankina's claim to composer Andrei Lityagin for copyright protection, forbidding him to dispose of the exclusive right to joint performance of the works of the Mirage group. It was clarified that the list included such hits as "Music connected us", "I'm not asking anymore", "100 stars", "The Night is Twinkling" and "The Stars are Silent".
