The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) use fragments of chainsaws as a combat load on drones in the zone of a special military operation (SVO). This was announced on July 24 by a sapper of the Moscow Military District with the call sign Tourist.

"It gets to the point where they use up to chainsaw chains, cut them down and add them to the drone kit," he told RIA Novosti.

According to him, the enemy attaches sawn chains to drones in order to inflict more severe injuries on people and disable them.

The sapper noted that such tactics increase the danger when trying to shoot down a drone in the vicinity, because after falling or detonating the device, metal fragments fly apart and can cause serious injuries. Therefore, Russian fighters carefully consider their actions, minimizing threats to personnel, he stressed.

On July 23, the Russian Aerospace Forces attacked facilities in Kherson, which the Ukrainian Armed Forces used to store and launch unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). As a result of accurate strikes, all targets were hit. The strike was subsequently confirmed by the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration. A fire broke out at the facility.
