The Interior Ministry warned Russians about the danger of transmitting passwords over the phone

Text message codes, bank card details, and passwords for personal accounts should not be shared with strangers on the phone. Information about this on July 24 follows from the materials of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

According to RIA Novosti, fraudsters can call citizens and introduce themselves as police officers, banks or technical support services. Attackers often report alleged problems with the account and offer to transfer money to a so-called "secure account."

The Interior Ministry urged not to disclose the CVV code of bank cards, their details and passwords for mobile applications of banks. Also, you should not install remote access programs at the request of unknown people.

Russians were advised not to follow links sent by strangers, not to download suspicious applications and not to continue communicating in third-party messengers.

After paying for such services, the attackers begin to threaten young people with criminal prosecution, accusing them of allegedly transferring funds to a banned organization.
