Jennifer Finch, the bassist of the American rock band L7, died at the age of 59 after a long illness. This was announced on July 19 on the group's Instagram page (owned by Meta, recognized as extremist and banned in the Russian Federation).

"She has been fighting brain cancer for a long time and courageously. She was loved by many wonderful friends, fellow musicians and fans all over the world. We love you, Jennifer," the post says.

The L7 group was founded in 1985, and Finch joined it in 1987. She performed in the band during its greatest popularity in the 1990s and remained the band's bassist until leaving in 1996.

After completing her work at L7, Finch collaborated with the bands OtherStarPeople and Shocker, and also created her own music label, Little Pusher Records, and professionally worked in photography. In 2015, the artist reunited with L7, taking part in the recording of the album Scatter the Rats, which was released in 2019.
