"The Passion of Moliere, or the Mask of Don Juan", 12+

The St. Petersburg Academic Ballet Theater of Boris Eifman celebrates the anniversary of its creator with a tour in the capital. From July 14 to August 2, he will present selected masterpieces of his repertoire on the stage of the Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Musical Theater. This is probably the best time to get acquainted with the maestro's works.

The program will open with a poignant production of The Moliere Passion, or The Mask of Don Juan. This is the second immersion of the master into the biography and universe of the French comedian. The work reveals the backstage of his creative life in order to show from what a mess of intrigues and torments Moliere's immortal comedies were born. The choreographer himself calls him the artist closest to himself.

Next, "Anna Karenina" based on the novel by Leo Tolstoy will be shown, and one of the main events will be the ballet "Crime and Punishment". The play was awarded the Russian National Theater Award "Golden Mask" for its philosophical interpretation of Dostoevsky's work. What makes it special is that Eifman himself will take part in it: on his anniversary on July 22, he will join the audience.

After that, the program includes the comedy hit "The Pygmalion Effect", the hallmark of the Chaika Theater. Ballet history". The final chord follows the play "Rodin, her eternal idol" about the brilliant French sculptor and his muse.

Egor Creed at the Luzhniki Stadium, 16+

After last year's sold-out Luzhniki Stadium, which attracted more than 80,000 spectators, Egor Creed returns to the arena. In recent years, he has moved even further away from the image of a teenage pop idol, and two stadium shows at once show how the scale of the artist is changing. Little is known about the new program, but past experience gives scope for imagination and sets the bar high: back then there were spectacular set designs, unexpected duets — including with Mikhail Shufutinsky — and provocative episodes that were discussed far beyond the music industry. All of this makes the upcoming shows one of the most anticipated pop events of the summer.

Candlelit concert "Love Stories", 6+

Lumisfera will present the premiere of the season — an evening of music about love in the light of 8 thousand candles. The program includes arias from the musicals "The Phantom of the Opera", "The Vampire Ball" and "Notre Dame de Paris", as well as works by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Antonio Vivaldi, Max Richter, Sergei Prokofiev. On stage are the stars of the musical theater Ivan Ozhogin and Natalia Bystrova with the Lumisfera orchestra conducted by Pavel Gogadze.

"MURAKAMI: Cool time 2", 16+

The Murakami rock band is not afraid of experimentation: there is a place for lyrics and heavy rock manifestos in their work. This year, the band released the 13th album "The Bride Wants to Go Home" and presented the third book of poetry by soloist Dilara Vagapova. The team continues the tradition of summer shows at the capital's venues, and now new material will be performed live.

A new cultural institution in Moscow, the Tone Center near the Leningradsky Railway Station, opened with the spatial composition "Land of Routes", painted by Vladimir Gorlinsky specifically for this building and taking into account the peculiarities of its architecture — the former circular depot.

16 musicians, three female vocalists, an arsenal of original instruments — from wooden slot drums to large metal plates, leather ethnic drums of different cultures and the space itself are combined into a single piece. The polyphonic sound of the voices refers to medieval chants, folk European, Middle Eastern, and Asian sources.

The daring road movie invites you to embark on a journey along the route from St. Petersburg to Sochi, where every turn is a test of strength. At the center of the story is photographer Tema (Aram Vardevanyan): brash, stubborn, not ready to accept that his beloved Sasha (Julia Frantz) is marrying someone else. And he gets behind the wheel of a red convertible to disrupt this wedding.
