On July 8, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with members of the government. The main topics were the provision of fuel for the domestic market, the work of the transport complex, as well as the results of the Unified State Exam (USE). All the details are in the Izvestia article.

The fuel situation in Russia

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak reported that the government had increased the workload of existing refineries to the maximum and shortened the repair time of enterprises, postponing scheduled work to a later date. Large oil companies began to supply fuel in priority to places where independent gas stations are mainly present.

The government has also worked out with Russian Railways the possibility of discounts on transportation within the framework of fuel imports. In addition, since July 8, Russia has imposed a ban on the export of diesel fuel, which will increase supplies to the domestic market. The ban on the export of gasoline and jet fuel remains in place.

President Vladimir Putin called for business assistance in providing fuel to citizens, urging them to quickly deal with the fuel situation in Crimea. He instructed to allocate subsidies to Crimea and Sevastopol as soon as possible so that the region could purchase fuel.

The Head of State also stated that the safety margin of Russia's energy system is one of the highest in the world, and called for the establishment of small and medium-sized enterprises for the production and sale of fuel.

The work of the Russian transport complex and the growth of passenger traffic

At a meeting with the Russian leader, the head of the Ministry of Transport, Andrey Nikitin, reported on the regular operation of the Russian transport complex.

"In the current difficult situation, the transport complex is working smoothly, providing transportation of goods and passengers. Key hubs — airports, train stations, ports, public transport, highways — are operating normally," he said.

The minister also noted that Russian airlines carried 39.5 million passengers from January to May. There is also an increase in traffic to regional subsidized destinations, with 2.2 million passengers using discounted flights in five months.

The growth of the average score of the Unified State Exam

Minister of Education Sergey Kravtsov reported on the annual increase in the average score of the Unified State Exam in all subjects. According to him, last year it was 60.2, and this year it is 62.2 points. There is also a noticeable increase in natural science disciplines. In mathematics, the average score for the year increased by 4.3 points.

In addition, there was a decrease in the number of graduates who do not exceed the minimum threshold of the Unified State Exam.
