The Russian Foreign Ministry announced its readiness to share energy potential for AI
The Russian side is ready to share its scientific and energy potential for the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This was announced on July 6 by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov.
"Russia is ready to share its potential — human, scientific, technical, and energy - for the development of sovereign artificial intelligence technologies," TASS quoted him as saying.
He noted that the country has time-tested developments. According to him, back in the 1950s, teams of Soviet scientists studied and demonstrated the possibilities of machine learning.
Alimov stressed that the Russian delegation, which includes representatives of the government, research organizations and developers, is ready to share this experience to promote AI technologies.
On May 29, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that Russia is ready to share its best practices in the field of AI with its partners, especially with friendly countries in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). He added that the independent development of AI requires large investments, but it allows us to use best practices in the field of defense, security and public administration.
