The Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost the opportunity to rotate on transport in Konstantinovka

The Russian army is destroying any equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) that is approaching Konstantinovka in the Donetsk People's Republic. This was announced on July 2 by the commander of the reconnaissance and strike division of the 238th Artillery Brigade of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Kuban.

The soldier said that his calculations hit a significant number of targets, and the unit has a sufficient number of intelligence assets to ensure the work of the brigade's firing units. According to Kubani, the fighters act as the "eyes and ears" of the artillery brigade, providing intelligence gathering for delivering fire damage to the enemy.

He noted that one of the main tasks is the destruction of control points for unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as transportation routes. According to Kuban, during the summer period, about 20 units of towed artillery were destroyed, including D-20 and D-30 guns, as well as BM-21 multiple rocket launchers. He also stressed that there are Western models among the destroyed equipment. As an example, a serviceman reported the defeat of the Vampire system using the Lancet barrage ammunition.

"We work jewelry, point-by-point. That is, we find a goal that is directly important to us. Either it's an artillery piece, or a self-propelled gun, or there's some kind of explicit UAV control point. They're trying to retreat, let's say. They try to leave, but we don't let them, because we are well aware that this is not the first experience, let's say, in four and a half years. Their exit attempts are more like an escape," Kuban shared.

The fighter also added that, despite understanding the consequences of the destruction of infrastructure, in some situations there is no other way to influence the enemy, especially if it is fixed in buildings. The military said that in order to increase the survival rate of personnel, measures are being taken to destroy fortified facilities in order to oust the enemy from their positions. According to him, after that, the Ukrainian units withdraw towards the settlements of Alekseevka and Alekseevo-Druzhkovka.

The advance of Russian units has called into question the existence of the last major enemy fortified area in the Donbas.

On the eve, Vadim Kimakovsky, a serviceman of the 425th separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Skala", noted that the Ukrainian command did not have up-to-date information about the situation in Konstantinovka and did not know that a number of facilities in the city had already come under the control of Russian forces. He also said that he was captured when he went with his group to one of the city houses for a "smoke break."

On the same day, the battalion commander of the 1442nd Motorized Rifle Regiment of the Southern Group of Forces with the call sign Rezvy clarified that all surrendering AFU fighters in Konstantinovka were being withdrawn from the city by the Russian military and remained alive. At the same time, the battalion commander stressed that Russian soldiers provide security to those representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine who make an informed choice in favor of surrender.
