On June 29, the Kuibyshev District Court of Omsk arrested four of the six suspects in the murder of Alexander Triputen, a student of history. He was stabbed to death, and his body was wrapped in a bag and hidden in a hole in a vacant lot. In court, the defendants claimed that they did not plan to kill the guy. According to their version, he was in love with one of the arrested girls, but he was too persistent in seeking her attention, so they decided to only "teach him a lesson." However, the investigation adheres to a different version: the crime was carefully prepared, and the alibi was thought out in advance. The mother of the deceased, in a conversation with Izvestia, emphasized the particular cruelty of the incident.

How did the murder happen

20-year-old Alexander Triputen, a third-year student of the History department of the Omsk State University named after F.M. Dostoevsky, did not return home on June 20, 2026. The next day, his relatives reported his disappearance to law enforcement agencies. The search continued for another five days. On June 26, the body of a young man wrapped in a plastic bag and dumped in a pit was found in an abandoned area on 10 let Oktyabrya Street.

The TFR opened a criminal case into the murder, and all those involved were quickly detained. According to the investigation, there were six of them — four boys and two girls between the ages of 20 and 24. According to Izvestia, among the detainees are Mikhail D., Kira L., Tigran G., Sofya Ch. and Xu F. Most of the suspects are nonresidents. They came from St. Petersburg and Yekaterinburg, and rented an apartment in Omsk. According to the investigation, none of those arrested are working or studying. Law enforcement officers believe that the murder was carefully prepared: the participants developed a plan, purchased duct tape, gloves and bags in advance, and also thought out an alibi in case of arrest. Mercenary motives remain one of the versions of the crime.

The investigation also managed to restore a preliminary picture of what happened. According to the Investigative Committee, the defendants lured the young man to a vacant lot near the Syropyatsky tract, promising to give him a gold nugget. There he was attacked, his hands and feet were tied with duct tape, and then dragged to an abandoned building, where he was stabbed several times in the neck and once in the chest. Alexander Triputen died on the spot from his wounds.

The victim's mother, Elena, was in the hospital after a stroke on the day of her son's disappearance. Alexander was very worried about her and wrote messages every half hour, but at some point he stopped contacting her.

"He doesn't write for half an hour, he doesn't write for an hour," she told Izvestia. - I ask: "Son, is everything okay?" There is no response. I'm calling, but the phone is turned off. I immediately realized that his mobile phone had been taken away. He would never do that himself. It's been our custom since school that he always stays in touch.

Elena believes that the suspects were not her son's friends.

— He was lured there by someone from this group with whom he was familiar. And he was killed there. Brutally. But he would never talk to any of them. This is not his contingent," she added.

The interlocutor of Izvestia noted that her son was a domestic boy and studied from morning to night, and one of his hobbies was coloring models of cars.

Suspects' version

On June 29, the court arrested the first four defendants in the case for two months.

In the hall, during the election of a preventive measure, one of the young men pleaded guilty to murder. His accomplice, on the contrary, stated that she did not suspect plans to kill Alexander, and her task was to monitor the situation, help bind the young man and move him. Another arrested woman, according to investigators, showed her accomplices the deserted area where the student was killed.

According to the defendants, it was an accidental homicide. The student allegedly fell in love with one of the girls and behaved too obsessively, which caused the conflict.

The measure of restraint for the remaining defendants will be determined by the court on June 30. The funeral of the deceased will take place on the same day.

Motive for the murder

Experts interviewed by Izvestia also consider the most likely version of a pre-prepared crime and indicate that the actions of the participants could have been thought out in advance.

— The motive for the increased attention to the girl is given here, but, in my opinion, there is something else here, - said Alexey Pershin, a former law enforcement officer and current lawyer.

The motive in such cases is almost always a thirst for easy money, the author of the Former Sledak channel, who wished to remain anonymous, explained to Izvestia.

— Due to the systematic viewing of detective series and reading criminal chronicles, some people have the feeling that they are knowledgeable enough to commit a crime and avoid being held accountable. Of course, this is just an illusion," he said.

The expert noted that law enforcement agencies have enough tools to solve crimes and collect evidence of suspects' guilt. According to him, special attention is usually paid to the investigation of murders — significant forces and resources are involved, so most of these cases can be completed in a short time.

Retired Interior Ministry colonel and former investigator Maxim Devyatyarov noted that this case cannot be called an ordinary one. He added that the participants in the crime, apparently, had carefully prepared themselves — they had thought out their actions in advance, but due to their age they had not taken into account a number of important circumstances.
