The Social Fund named the average amount of the new payment for working parents

The average amount of a new family payment for working parents in Russia was 30 thousand rubles. This was announced on June 29 on the website of the Social Fund of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that in each case, the amount is determined individually and depends on the income from which personal income tax is calculated. The tax withheld at the standard rate of 13% or higher is recalculated at a preferential rate of 6%, and the difference is returned to the parent in the form of an annual payment.

Payments began to be processed in June 2026. Families with two or more children have the right to them, if the average family income does not exceed 1.5 minimum subsistence levels. At the same time, the amount of the payment takes into account the personal income tax paid and is not reduced by tax deductions for treatment, property or education, which allows it to be assigned in a higher amount.

Both working parents can apply for support. In the case of a divorce, this is not an obstacle, but a prerequisite is the absence of alimony debts. Applications can be submitted until October 1, 2026.

In May, the Social Fund reported that the agency had begun to review the refusals to assign uniform benefits to large families, which were imposed due to a slight excess of their income levels. The allowance will be assigned without the parents' participation if it turns out that the decision on the earlier refusal contradicts the updated rules.
