Missing 12-year-old girl found dead in Kuzbass

In the Kemerovo region — Kuzbass, a 12-year-old girl, previously reported missing, was found dead with signs of violent death. This was reported on June 28 by the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia.

"As a result of investigative actions and operational search measures, a man involved in the crime was identified - he turned out to be a previously convicted 54—year-old local resident," the agency said in a statement on the Maks messenger.

A criminal case has been opened under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder") on the fact of the unknown disappearance and discovery of the child's body.

The suspect was detained by an investigator with the forceful support of the Rosgvardiya staff. In the near future, he will be charged, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention will be resolved.

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia instructed the head of the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Kemerovo region — Kuzbass, Belikto Bazarov, to report on the progress of the investigation of the criminal case and the circumstances established.

On May 31, a court in Tyumen arrested a man who is suspected of attempting to abuse a young girl in an entrance hall. It was clarified that he was charged under paragraph "b" of Part 4 of Article 132 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Other acts of a sexual nature using the helpless state of the victim if they are committed against a person under the age of fourteen"). The defendant admitted his guilt and repented of what he had done.
