- UK proposes to replace "Conversations about important things" in schools with lessons of courage
On June 26, Alexander Bastrykin, Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, proposed replacing "Conversations about important things" with lessons of courage in schools.
"Maybe 'Talking about important things' should be replaced with lessons of courage," Bastrykin said during a speech at the International Youth Legal Forum at the St. Petersburg International Law Forum.
According to him, today there is a unique opportunity to invite participants of a special military operation to meetings, as the UK does in its educational institutions, inviting veterans of Afghanistan and Chechen companies to meetings, among others.
On June 25, Russian Minister of Education Sergei Kravtsov announced that the share of primary military training in Russian schools would be increased to 50% from September 1. In addition, he recalled that in the framework of the subject "Fundamentals of security and defense of the Motherland" about 20% of the school time is now devoted to basic military training.
