- The Bulgarian Prime Minister announced the exhaustion of resources for military assistance to Kiev
Bulgaria has exhausted the possibilities to provide Ukraine with military or financial support beyond the already agreed terms. This was announced by Prime Minister Rumen Radev on June 23.
"After 13 military support packages, Bulgaria has reached the limit of what it can provide from the resources of the armed forces without prejudice to national defense," Radev was quoted as saying by Bulgarian National Radio.
At the same time, the Prime Minister clarified that the termination of the transfer of property from the order of the Bulgarian army does not mean a complete halt in aid to Kiev. According to him, the support will continue in other areas, in particular, through the activities of the Bulgarian defense industry.
Bulgarian Defense Minister Dimitar Stoyanov said on June 9 that the country has no plans to resume arms supplies to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He added that the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict will not take place on the battlefield, so it is necessary to facilitate the transition to diplomatic methods to resolve this crisis.
On June 8, the Dutch Ministry of Defense announced the termination of participation in the Interflex international operation for the training of military personnel of the Armed Forces. The latest Dutch contribution to the program was provided by the fighters of the 13th Light Brigade. At the same time, the Defense Ministry stressed that the country will continue to participate in the training of the Ukrainian military through other formats, including within the framework of the European EUMAM mission.
