The Kalashnikov Concern has successfully shipped a large batch of GP-34 40mm under-barrel grenade launchers to the state customer on time. This was announced on June 8 by the company's press service.
"Kalashnikov Concern JSC has successfully shipped a large batch of GP-34 40mm under-barrel grenade launchers to the state customer on time. The volume of its release under the contract in 2026 remains at a high level," the concern's Telegram channel says.
The company noted that this product is actively used by Russian units in the area of a special military operation. It is noted that the grenade launcher has been in service with the Russian army and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation for more than 20 years.
"The GP-34 is designed to destroy manpower and unarmored vehicles using high-explosive fragmentation and thermobaric grenades at a distance of up to 400 m," the concern added.
Alan Lushnikov, CEO of the Kalashnikov concern, announced on May 22 that serial production of the RPL-20 light machine gun with 5.45 caliber cartridges could begin in 2026. He specified that this technique will be adopted by assault units in the future.
