Dzyuba named the main favorite and the best football player of the 2026 World Cup

On June 7, former striker of the Russian national team Artyom Dzyuba, in an interview with the Transfermarkt portal, named the main favorite of the upcoming FIFA World Cup (2026 World Cup) and a contender for the title of the best player of the tournament.

In an interview published on the portal's Telegram channel, the footballer expressed confidence that the French national team would take the title of world champions. The best player of the competition, according to Dzyuba, will be Bayern Munich striker Michael Olise.

In the group stage, the French team will compete in Group I. The team's opponents will be the national teams of Senegal, Norway and Iraq. The upcoming tournament will be held in the summer of 2026 at stadiums in the USA, Canada and Mexico.

For 24-year-old winger Olise, this World Cup will be the debut in his career. To date, the footballer has played 16 matches for the French national team, in which he scored four goals and three assists.
