Poland has proposed an audit of NATO's assistance to Ukraine
Poland may propose an audit of military, financial and humanitarian assistance provided to Ukraine by NATO countries. This was reported on June 4 by Myśl Polska.
According to the publication, the initiative may be announced at the summit of the North Atlantic Alliance, which will be held in Ankara. It is noted that, despite the absence of Ukraine's membership in NATO, representatives of Kiev regularly participate in the bloc's events to discuss further support.
The authors of the material believe that the summit's platform can be used to raise questions about the transparency of spending funds allocated to Ukraine.
"Poland could ask the question: 'Where are all these billions? Where is the money, Mr. [President of Ukraine Vladimir] Zelensky? What did you spend it on? When will the audit be conducted?", the publication says.
The article also claims that since 2022, Ukraine has received about $375 billion in aid from NATO countries, not counting individual programs of individual member states of the alliance.
The day before, Zelensky expressed dissatisfaction with the slowness of Western countries in the supply of Patriot air defense systems. He added that even the legal aspects of the arms transfer have not yet been worked out, but Ukraine expects to complete the preparatory procedures within a week.
