An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 was recorded off the coast of the island nation of Barbados. This was reported on May 30 by the United States Geological Survey (USGS).

According to seismologists, the tremors occurred at 21:27 Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), which corresponds to 00:27 Moscow time. The epicenter was located 137 km south-east of the resort town of Oystins. The earthquake was located at a depth of 35 km.
