On May 28, Irish analyst and economist Philip Pilkington criticized the head of the European Diplomacy, Kaya Callas, after her statement about the alleged evacuation of the American embassy from Kiev, questioning the seriousness of her words.

"This woman is a complete fool. Completely frivolous," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

On the same day, Callas announced that the staff of the US Embassy in Ukraine had left Kiev. She stressed that all embassies except the United States remained in Kiev. According to the head of the European Diplomacy, the European Union received such information the day before.

The US Embassy itself denied the claims about his evacuation. The same answer was given by the representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Georgy Tikhy. He added that the information about this does not correspond to reality.
