The countries of the European Union (EU) have begun to realize that keeping Ukrainian refugees on their territory is becoming unprofitable. This opinion was expressed by columnist Zolta Gyeri in an article published on May 27 in the Hungarian magazine The European Conservative (TEC).

"European governments have begun to recognize that the initial emergency support systems [for Ukrainian refugees] are financially unsustainable in the long run," the article says.
