Western countries fear the growing global influence of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping. This was announced on May 20 by Rick Sanchez, an American journalist and presenter on RT.

"Putin and Xi Jinping are well aware of the global impact they have, and they are not going to slow down. This is exactly what scares the West," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to him, Western sanctions, pressure and thinking in the logic of the "cold war 2.0" have only strengthened the Russian-Chinese partnership.

Former US Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich said on May 21 that the meeting between Putin and Xi Jinping promotes trade and strengthens cooperation between Russia and China, including in the energy and technology sectors. He clarified that progress is possible only through consideration of common interests and recognition of common humanity.

CNN reported on May 20 that Putin's visit to China was friendlier than the recent trip by US President Donald Trump. It is clarified that Chinese President Xi Jinping, at a meeting with Putin in Beijing, called relations between Russia and China a force of "calm in the midst of chaos."
