Who's the old one?

The leader of the national distribution is still the Kravchuk brothers' crime drama Kommersant, starring Alexander Petrov as a bankrupt banker who went to jail. According to the EAIS, over the weekend, the picture of the debutant directors collected 51 million rubles. Interest in her is stable. The total fees for four weeks amounted to 414 million rubles.

The film tells about a man who, in pursuit of easy money, gradually loses himself and finds himself forced to rethink his life. A young businessman, Andrey, agrees to participate in the scam, hoping to quickly achieve wealth and success. However, instead of the desired future, deception, ruined relationships and imprisonment await him. After going through difficult trials, the hero begins to change internally and tries to understand who he really is. The main roles in the film were played by Alexander Petrov, Artur Ivanov, Elizaveta Bazykina, Mikhail Troinik and the rapper Husky.

— Kommersant halved its box office volume by the fourth weekend compared to the previous two. This is a steady result, indicating that the release has a cool "sundress" that promises a chance to reach the box office of half a billion. However, there is an obstacle on this path, because next weekend Guy Ritchie's new film Dirty Money will be released, which will definitely bring the lion's share of the adult audience to the screens," Olga Zinyakova, president of the KARO cinema chain, said in an interview with Izvestia.

A new rental is catching up with the crime drama — the animated film "Leo and Tig. The Road to Baikal" directed by Anton Lanshakov from NMG Film Distribution. The cartoon earned 49 million rubles last weekend.

The story is about the journey of two friends, Leo the leopard and Tiga the tiger cub, who find Lufi the lost seal in the taiga. To help her return home to Lake Baikal, the heroes embark on a long, dangerous journey through unknown lands.

This is part of the big animated franchise "Leo and Tig" from the studio "Steam Train". The characters speak in the voices of famous actors, including Alexandra Ursulyak, Agnia Kuznetsova and Daniil Eldarov.

If "Kommersant" and "Leo and Tig" showed fairly close results, then the film that took the next line in the box office had significantly lower fees. The military drama "Angels of Ladoga" by Alexander Kott ended the weekend with a result of 23.7 million rubles. Starring: Tikhon Zhiznevsky, Viktor Dobronravov, Polina Agureeva, Evgeny Sidikhin, Roman Evdokimov, Ksenia Treisler. In total, he earned 382 million rubles in four weeks of rental.

In the top 5, another leader of last weekend is Ben Gregor's fantasy "Up the Magic Tree" starring Andrew Garfield and Claire Foy. This is a fabulous story about children who, together with their parents, move from noisy London to a quiet village. To distract teenagers, adults arrange for them a life without gadgets. Guys against animals

It should be noted that formally, the short film "Farewell" is on the first line of the official EAIS rating, but Hollywood releases are clearly hidden behind it, and there may be several of them, so it makes no sense to compare this result with Russian full-length films.

It will be difficult for Kommersant to maintain its leading position next weekend. According to Olga Zinyakova, in addition to Guy Ritchie's film, both the already released cartoon "Leo and Tig" and the upcoming comedy by Mitri Semenov-Aleynikov "Not Alone at Home 3. Prom" with child star Milana Khametova can remove him from the pedestal.

"Leo and Tig" is a popular cartoon and an established brand that children vote for. But Milan Khametova will take part of the audience, since the novelty has a very low age limit — 6+, Olga Zinyakova believes.
