The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired at the Zaporozhye NPP transport workshop

Artillery shelling from the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) of the station's transport workshop was recorded on the territory of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (NPP). This was announced on May 17 in the press service of the NPP.

"On the territory of the Zaporizhia NPP, which is part of the Rosatom nuclear power plants, an artillery attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the station's transport workshop was recorded," the press service said in a statement on the Telegram channel.

It is specified that the roof of the building and buses for transporting personnel were damaged. There were no casualties as a result of the incident, there was no fire. In addition, a drone attack on the Raduga substation was recorded, the drone was neutralized, and specialists are working at the scene.

"The Zaporizhia NPP continues to operate normally. No violations of safe operation conditions were recorded. All technological parameters are under control," the station said.

The mayor of Energodar, Maxim Pukhov, announced on the same day that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had hit a kindergarten in the city with a drone. He noted that the windows were damaged, and debris was lying on the territory of the institution.
