Minnesota defeated Colorado in the Stanley Cup match

The Minnesota Wild Hockey Club defeated the Colorado Avalanche HC in the third match of the second round of the National Hockey League (NHL) playoffs. The match took place on May 9 in St. Paul and ended with a score of 5:1.

Russian forward Kirill Kaprizov from Minnesota scored a goal and two assists. He now has 14 points (four goals and 10 assists) in nine games of the current playoffs. His compatriot Vladimir Tarasenko scored one assist.

Quinn Hughes, Ryan Hartman, Brock Faber and Matthew Baldy scored one goal apiece for the hosts. Nathan McKinnon scored the only goal for the visitors.

Minnesota scored its first victory in the series and narrowed the gap.
