In Crimea, a child was injured in an explosion of ammunition found on the street

In the Sovetsky district of Crimea, a 12-year-old boy was injured after an object he found exploded on the street. This was reported on May 4 by the Investigative Committee for Crimea and Sevastopol.

"Yesterday afternoon, a schoolboy and a friend were walking near an abandoned building, where they found an explosive object. After the boy picked it up, a detonation occurred," the UK said in a Telegram channel message.

It is noted that the child was hospitalized with an arm injury in a medical facility, where he receives the necessary assistance.

A criminal case has been opened into the incident under Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of serious harm to health against a minor using an object used as a weapon") and Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation of ammunition").

The press service of the Ministry of Territorial Security of the region reported that the child received minor burns. A criminal case was opened into the incident in accordance with Article 213 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Hooliganism"). Then they added that during the detonation, a certain coloring substance got into the child's eyes.
