Investigators from the Moscow region have charged Oliver Kaiser, director of the Austrian company Ecocom, with particularly large-scale fraud in the implementation of the state contract for the reclamation of the Kuchino landfill. This was reported by TASS on May 2, citing a law enforcement source.

"He was charged with fraud (Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), and the court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention, the term of which was recently extended by a court near Moscow," the source said.

According to investigators, from 2018 to 2020, Kaiser violated the terms of the state contract when carrying out work on the reclamation of a landfill in the Balashikha city district. The businessman has been arrested and is being held in one of the regional pre-trial detention centers.

In October last year, the Ostankino Court of Moscow satisfied the claim of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation in the amount of more than 924 million rubles in the case of embezzlement during the construction of fortifications in the Belgorod region. The defendants in the lawsuit were Zainullin, as well as businessmen Sergey Petryakov, Ivan Novikov, Konstantin Zimin and Dmitry Borovlev. A lawsuit has also been filed against the companies Region Siberia and Stroyinvestreserv.
