ICF awarded neutral status to ten more Russian rowers

Ten Russian rowers received neutral status. This was announced on April 26 by the International Canoe Federation (ICF).

"Galina Chugunova, Vladimir Dubrovsky, Alexander Galukhin, Olga Fomina, Pavel Kotov, Mikhail Lebedev, Oleg Pustovoy, Victoria Sayed, Vladimir Vinogradov and Irina Zolochevskaya have become holders of neutral status, giving the right to compete at tournaments under the auspices of the ICF," TASS reports with reference to the ICF order.

Currently, more than 500 athletes from Russia and Belarus have neutral status. In April 2023, the ICF Board decided to allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete as individual neutral athletes. At the same time, the federation created an independent commission to review applications, Sport-Express reports.

On February 13, the International Rowing Federation (World Rowing) allowed Russians to participate in the fours and eights tournaments in a neutral status. The FGSR added that they will continue their dialogue with World Rowing to resolve the admission of juniors without any violations.
