In May, the European Union (EU) and the UK will be hit by a "tsunami of energy crisis" that will result in huge losses for them. This forecast was made on April 26 by Kirill Dmitriev, Special Representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).

"Instead of constantly looking for an external enemy to justify internal failures, de-escalation is needed. The EU and Britain will suffer enormous losses from the tsunami of the energy crisis that will hit in May, and they need to correct the wrong approach and measures in order to survive," Dmitriev wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

This is how the head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund reacted to the publication of the Newsmax TV channel on the same social network, which quoted the words of French President Emmanuel Macron. The French leader claimed that the leaders of Russia, the United States and China are part of a kind of "global shift" that allegedly acts against the interests of Europe.
