Free admission to the city's largest museums has been announced in St. Petersburg. This was announced on April 11 on the website of the St. Isaac's Cathedral State Museum.

"The St. Isaac's Cathedral State Museum congratulates everyone on the Bright Feast of the Resurrection of Christ! This year, this joyful day coincides with another important date — the 95th anniversary of the opening of our museum," the message says.

In honor of these events, the museum announces free admission to the main exhibitions of the St. Isaac's Cathedral and Savior on Spilled Blood museums for all categories of visitors on April 12 from 10:00 to 18:00. At the same time, a visit to the observation deck of the colonnade of St. Isaac's Cathedral remains paid.

The day before, the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM) reported that seven out of 10 Russians surveyed plan to celebrate Orthodox Easter. According to VTsIOM, Easter is one of the main important holidays along with Christmas and ranks fourth in importance among Russians.
