Izvestia showed the residential area of the Iranian island of Kharq

Special correspondent of Izvestia, Nasser Ashkeri, became the first and only journalist among the world's media who managed to get to Kharq Island on April 10 after the outbreak of the conflict between the United States and Iran. This is a part of the island where employees of the oil company and its subsidiaries mainly live.

"We are located inside a complex on Kharq Island, where the indigenous people of this land lead their lives. Houses, streets — everything has an old structure, a natural and traditional atmosphere," Ashkeri reports.
