The car owner has the right to demand compensation if his vehicle has been soiled by someone else's animal. This was announced to Izvestia on April 7 by Dmitry Bondar, a public figure and housing and communal services expert.

According to him, in such cases we are not talking about penalties, but about the reimbursement of actually incurred expenses. As a rule, this is the cost of washing a car, confirmed by checks, which can reach 3 thousand rubles. He noted that the owner of the animal can also be brought to administrative responsibility for violating the rules of walking. The fine under art. 8.52 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ranges from 1.5 thousand to 3 thousand rubles.

"However, it can be difficult to prove a violation under this particular article. It is necessary to record that the dog was unattended or muzzled at the time of the incident, and also confirm that its actions violated local landscaping regulations. In practice, this is not always possible," the expert explained.

He added that materials on such cases are usually reviewed by state oversight bodies. Police officers can also collect evidence and transfer it to relevant authorities.
