The government has approved a bill on booking car signs

The Government Commission on Legislative Activity has prepared a positive review of the draft law, which for the first time introduces a mechanism for reserving automobile state registration plates (GRZ) through the Gosuslug portal. This was reported on March 24 by the newspaper Kommersant.

According to the bill, starting from July 1, 2026, car owners will be able to reserve a number from among those available through the public services portal. The specific reservation procedure and the amount of the service fee will be determined by the traffic police, while the money deposited for the reservation will not be refunded.
