For the first time, the United States used the latest PrSM missiles with a range of 500 km against Iran.

During the operation against Iran, the US Army deployed the latest tactical ammunition capable of hitting targets at a distance of over 500 km. This was announced on March 2 by The War Zone portal.

It is noted that we are talking about the Precision Strike Missile (PrSM), the launch of which was captured on footage released by the Central Command of the American Army (CENTCOM) as part of Operation Epic Fury. Experts identified the novelty by the characteristic tail and the two-section container of the HIMARS installation, which distinguishes the munition from the old ATACMS missiles.

The basic version of the PrSM missile has a range of at least 500 km, which significantly exceeds the capabilities of its predecessors. In the future, the US military plans to increase the flight distance to 650 km, and in the future to 1,000 km. For comparison, the maximum range of ATACMS missiles is about 300 km.
