The initiative of Finnish Defense Minister Antti Hyakkanen to review real estate transactions concluded with citizens of countries outside the European Union (EU) is clearly directed against Russians. This was announced on February 26 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"It's no secret that these plans are directed against the Russians," she said.

At the briefing, Zakharova stressed that this is a manifestation of Russophobia and a continuation of discriminatory steps that have already been taken by Finland. According to her, Helsinki stops at nothing in its fight against the "imaginary Russian threat."
