The Ministry of Labor proposed to change the list of professions for alternative service in 2026.

The Russian Ministry of Labor has prepared a draft updated list of professions for alternative civil service in 2026. This was reported on February 25 on the website of the press service of the department.

The project includes 363 specialties, formed taking into account the proposals of federal and regional authorities. The revision of the list is related to the entry into force of the updated All-Russian Classifier of Worker Professions, employee positions and tariff categories from the beginning of the year.

"The number of organizations where it is possible to complete the AHS has increased from 1798 to 1927. In addition, the list of enterprises and institutions where representatives of small—numbered peoples of Russia can serve has been expanded, taking into account their traditional way of life and crafts," the publication says.
