Putin instructed to accelerate the formation of a Bioeconomy Development Strategy

On February 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed the government to accelerate the formation of a Strategy for the development of the bioeconomy until 2050.

"I ask the government to quickly build a long—term vision, a national strategy for shaping the bioeconomy until the middle of the 21st century," he said at the Future Technologies Forum.

Putin clarified that the document should take into account the situation of bioeconomics when defining the tasks of Russia's food and biological security, the systemic development of healthcare, energy, agriculture, industry and other sectors.
