Billboards against financing of Ukraine appeared in the Hungarian capital

Billboards have been posted in Budapest in support of a nationwide petition against the financing of Ukraine at the expense of the European Union and Hungarian taxpayers. This became known on February 21.

According to RIA Novosti, the posters depict President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with his hand outstretched, head of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and leader of the European People's Party faction in the European Parliament Manfred Weber. A stop sign is placed in the center of the composition.

"Let's send a message to Brussels: we will not pay!" the posters say.

The Financial Times newspaper reported on February 20 that Hungary's ambassador to the EU opposed the bloc's borrowing of €90 billion to help Ukraine. Budapest's decision blocked the operation, which required the consent of all 27 EU countries, which could lead to financial problems in Kiev in the second quarter of this year.
