On February 18, the head of Cherepovets, Roman Maslov, announced his resignation and transfer to the legislative assembly of the Vologda region.

"Cherepovets is my favorite city, and residents of Cherepovets are the most active and caring residents, as I constantly say. I made a difficult decision to resign. I'm going to work in the Legislative Assembly of our region," he wrote on his Telegram channel.

Maslov added that in his new position he will continue to work for the benefit of his hometown. He thanked the residents for their trust, and the governor of the region, Georgy Filimonov, and his team for their support in solving current problems and building a long—term development strategy for Cherepovets.

Maslov worked as the mayor for about a year. Previously, he headed the administration of the Cherepovets district.

Lipetsk Mayor Roman Chentsov resigned from his post on February 13 at his own request due to family circumstances. In his address, the mayor stressed the importance of family circumstances that forced him to make such a decision and devote more time to his loved ones. He expressed gratitude to everyone who supported him throughout all the years of his work.
